Above all, we’re about the glory of God. When given the choice, we will always choose to make much of Jesus rather than make much of ourselves. Mosaic is and will always be a church that loves Jesus more than self. We aren’t about building our brand, we’re about building the Kingdom.
See Beauty in Brokenness.
At Mosaic, we celebrate our differences and embrace our brokenness. Our goal is never to create a homogenous church where everybody looks and lives the same. We understand that we’re not just unique, but we’re all uniquely broken, and only Jesus Christ can take many uniquely broken pieces and make us a whole. The things that make us different from one another are the same things that make Christ’s church most beautiful.
Do Less, but Do Our Best.
Life is complicated; we believe church should be simple. We want to be Ruth’s Chris, not Golden Corral. We most honor God when we give him our best, but we can only give him our best when we practice stewardship by maintaining a laser focus on a handful of ministries our church has been uniquely equipped to carry out, and mastering those few things to the best of our ability.
Give Like It Isn’t Ours.
We own nothing. Everything in this world belongs to God, and he temporarily allows us to serve as caretaker and steward of small portions of his vast kingdom. So we steward God’s resources in a way that honor him, and we give generously because we know we’ve only seen a fraction of our Father’s riches.
Live Like the Tomb is Empty.
Because Jesus defeated sin and death, we can live in freedom. Because Jesus is alive, we can live with joy. Because of Christ’s great love for me, we can love others. We believe Christians should be noticeably different from the world in all areas of our life, not because we’re special, but because the tomb is empty.
